Featuring over a century of heroic impact AAPIs have had on America through a series of beautiful murals by AAPI artists.

The Murals:

Japanese American 442nd Combat Regiment Mural

The 442nd Regimental Combat Team @ Haji Moto Ramen & Sake Bar

Brother and sister team ANDEWSAK and Victoria Kiyoko Art will be honoring their Japanese-American heritage by painting a mural of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team

The mural is displayed at Haji Moto Ramen & Sake Bar, 114 E 7th St #116, Georgetown, TX 78626.

Corky Lee @ Wanderlust Wine Co. - Barton Springs

Austin painter Swathi Konduri showcases the contributions of photojournalist Corky Lee with a mural honoring his legacy as the “undisputed, unofficial Asian American Photographer Laureate.”

The mural highlights Lee’s lifelong dedication to documenting and amplifying AAPI communities, creating a visual celebration of his work and activism.

The mural is displayed at Wanderlust Wine Co. at 1601 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704.

Mural of Larry Itliong and Cesar Chavez at Austin Beerworks Sprinkle Valley.

Larry Itliong & Cesar Chavez @ Austin Beerworks Sprinkle Valley

A collaboration between Carmen Rangel and Everyday Research, this large mural honors farmworker rights activists Larry Itliong and Cesar Chavez.

The mural is displayed at Austin Beerworks Sprinkle Valley10300 Springdale Rd, Austin, TX 78754.

Mural of Yuri Kochiyama and Malcolm X at The Frances Modern Inn.

Yuri Kochiyama & Malcolm X @ The Frances Modern Inn

A collaboration between Thao Huynh French and Chris Rogers, this large mural honors civil rights activists Yuri Kochiyama and Malcolm X.

The mural is located at The Frances Modern Inn, 1123 E 11th St, Austin, TX 78702, across Kenny Dorham’s Backyard and in front of the Black Artists Matter street mural.

Herlinda Wong Chew @ Distribution Hall

Painted by San Antonio based Filipino-Chinese American artist Lourdes Maria Ong, the mural features Herlinda Wong Chew, a badass half Chinese, half Mexican woman who survived the Mexican Revolution and was a fierce advocate for both Chinese and Mexican immigrants in El Paso during the early 1900s.

Check out this mural on the back of Distribution Hall, located at 1500 E 4th St, Austin, TX 78702, across CapMetro’s Plaza Saltillo station.
