Exciting news is brewing at Amplify Asian as we embark on a creative journey with the launch of our inaugural 2024 AAPI Heroes Mural Campaign. This community-driven initiative aims to celebrate AAPI culture, history, and accomplishments through vibrant murals, painting the town with stories of resilience, activism, and triumph.
We’re thrilled to share that we’ve teamed up with the iconic HOPE Outdoor Gallery, OCA Greater Houston, and the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce (GAACC), building a network of support to amplify the narratives of AAPI heroes. This collaborative effort has received a significant boost with us securing the Elevate grant from the City of Austin to support the project.
What to Expect:
Talented AAPI artists will paint multiple murals across Greater Austin. These murals will not just be artworks but living testaments to the historical contributions of AAPI heroes.
Our focus goes beyond ethnicity. In collaboration with local artists, we’re highlighting individuals who championed causes beyond their immediate communities, fostering collaboration and solidarity.
Each mural will feature a QR code linking to a webpage with comprehensive biographical information about the hero depicted, fostering educational outreach.
